MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN at Anchor Packaging. – Janesville, Wisconsin

3RD SHIFT 10pm-6am (Monday-Friday, Overtime as necessary)

OVERALL JOB FUNCTION

To perform various functions within the Maintenance Department while meeting the safety, quality, efficiency, and scrap goals of the company.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. Achieve scissor lift certification and operate scissor lift.

2. Achieve forklift certification and operate forklift.

3. Achieve lockout/tagout certification.

4. Ability to setup and operate equipment and/or tools needed to perform preventive maintenance tasks and corrective repairs.

5. Perform preventive maintenance activities on production equipment, production support equipment, building and grounds.

6. Keep record of preventive maintenance activities performed.

7. Assist in troubleshooting issues with production equipment, production support equipment, building and grounds.

8. Assist in performing corrective repairs to production equipment, production support equipment, building and grounds.

9. Keep record of corrective repairs to production equipment, production support equipment, building and grounds.

10. Conduct routine inspection of premises and equipment.

11. Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain a safe work area.

12. Assist in training.

13. Assist with all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Post-secondary education and/or technical trade certificate.

Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematic diagrams.

Ability to read and understand written instructions.

Ability to perform intermediate math skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated mechanical skills/aptitude.

Experience with computer programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standing: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Bending: Must be able to bend to floor.

Reaching: Must be able to reach forward and above head.

Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Manual Dexterity: Must be able to perform repetitive hand movements.

Vision: Must be able to clearly read written instructions.

Hearing: Must be able to communicate with coworkers.

Speech: Must be able to communicate with coworkers.
