About This Position

We are a Construction Services group seeking an Estimator to join our team. This position will

be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects,

analyzing project plans, and coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and project managers to

ensure successful project bidding and execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Review contracts, create new files using construction software, and monitor all stages of

the jobs and update files.

● Maintains compliance with the contract terms for quality, schedule, estimating and

profitability.

● Thorough knowledge of contract documents required to properly plan construction

sequencing, staffing, and subcontractor coordination.

● As needed, coordinates with associated trades for efficient workflow

● Analyze blueprints, drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost,

materials, and labor estimates.

● Solicit and review quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.

● Prepare bid proposals and present cost estimates to projects.

● Identify cost-saving opportunities and risks within projects.

● Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients during the

preconstruction phase.

● Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, market trends, and labor rates.

● Track historical data and compile cost databases for future projects.

● Assist in the development of project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.

Skills and Qualifications:

● Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (minimum 3–5 years preferred)

● Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods

● Proficiency in estimation software

● Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

● Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

● Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

● Strong communication and negotiation skills

● Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and

multitasking

● Valid driver’s license.
