Registered Nurse OR at Truvista Surgery Center – Troy, Michigan

Truvista Surgery Center is currently hiring a full time OR Registered Nurse. Truvista is a nationally recognized award winning Ophthalmology Surgery Center located in Troy, Michigan.

This position works 36 - 40 hours per week days per week. No Weekends or Holidays. The daily shift typically ends between 3:30pm - 4:30pm.

Job Summary

Directs and/or provides professional perioperative nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Provides supervision and guidance to other members of the surgical team; and may be authorized, in the absence of the OR Charge RN, to make decisions affecting the operating of the surgical suite.

An Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing is required.

Current licensure in the State of Michigan.

Current BLS Certification.

Registered Nurse has 1 year from date of hire to obtain ACLS Certification.

Ability to relate and work effectively with others.

Demonstrates skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.

Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.

Previous operating room experience is preferred.

Is aware of professional nursing standards and performs in accordance with them.
