Position Overview
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our growing academic and clinical team. This is a full-time faculty position offering the opportunity to contribute to a highly collaborative environment that integrates patient care, education, and research.
About the Role
This position includes a balanced mix of procedural and clinical responsibilities within the Electrophysiology (EP) section
80% Clinical (EP-focused):
20% Outpatient Care:
Faculty members play an integral role in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students, with opportunities to engage in clinical research and program development.

80% Clinical (EP-focused):
- EP lab procedures
- Device implantation and interrogation
- Inpatient electrophysiology consultations
20% Outpatient Care:
- Community-based ambulatory practice
Faculty members play an integral role in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students, with opportunities to engage in clinical research and program development.
Electrophysiology & Clinical Program Highlights
Electrophysiology Team:
- Collaborative group of 5 electrophysiology faculty members, 2 EP fellows and 3 Advanced Practice Providers
Advanced EP Programs:
- High-volume atrial fibrillation ablation program (~850 cases annually)
- Established left atrial appendage closure program, including Watchman procedures (~220 cases annually)
- Dedicated ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation program
- Left Bundle Branch Pacing (LBBP) program
Ambulatory Cardiology Clinic – Worcester:
- Evaluates approximately 425–475 new patients per month
- Manages a total patient volume of ~2,700–3,300 visits per month
Qualifications
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
- MD or DO with eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure
- Interest in academic medicine, including teaching and research
- Strong collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment
- Subspecialty interest in ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation or advanced EP procedures preferred, but not required
