About This Position
- Be comfortable reading a stage plot and input list, setting up for a musical performance and working with musicians.
- Be comfortable running an efficient sound check, seeking to both achieve your goals as the mixer, but support musicians on stage to do their best work as well.
- Have the ability to execute a successful live mix on a digital sound board.
- Attain professional level stage hand skills in setting up for any live event with sound, lighting and power systems.
- Understand how to work on a team with your peers and a team leader and supervisor.

Pay Grade: Unpaid with ability to earn college credit
Remote Tier 1: Zero (0) days remote/month
- A desire to learn new technology in the entertainment industry
- A desire to work on a team of both professionals and peers that are learning
- The ability to maintain a schedule, arrive on time, and work on weekends and evenings
- The comfort to work outside, in diverse environments such as City Hall Park and the Church Street Marketplace while doing your best work and maintaining a professional level of work.
- Ability to actively support City diversity, equity, and cultural competency efforts within stated job responsibilities and work effectively across diverse cultures and constituencies.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as evidenced by ongoing trainings and professional development.
- Must be enrolled in a high school, college, university internship course/experience
- Poses a strong interest in live sound, lighting and event, production or artist management.
- Ability to work with professional performing artists.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff and the general public
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Regular attendance is necessary and is essential to meeting the expectations of the job functions.
- Ability to understand and comply with City standards, safety rules and personnel policies.
