Under the direction of the Supervisor Cash Posting, this position completes all payment postings to patient accounts. Reconciles payments and shortages for both paper and electronic EOBs.
Hourly Pay Range: $16.22 - $23.92
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Prefer experience performing payment posting, healthcare patient accounting, medical insurance/billing/reimbursement, or related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of hospital patient account systems and cash receipts processes.
- Must have strong data entry skills and know 10-key by touch.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to handle granular details regarding payments and contracts.
- Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
- Must have the ability to apply math/business concepts to solve problems.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
