Essential Functions
- Assists engineers with the development and implementation of automation systems or components.
- Programs, installs, tests, and maintains robots or automated components.
- Assists in the commissioning and deployment of new automation installations, conducts field trials to ensure appropriate operation, and prepares reports or records documenting actions or findings.
- Investigate and troubleshoots defects or bugs, complete repairs and provides preventative maintenance.
- Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
- Discipline/Major: Technical Training Preferred
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Detail oriented. Problem-solving skills. Mathematic skills. Computer skills. Technical skills. Leadership skills.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
