Concrete Paving Superintendent (PCCP) at Sterling Construction Company, Inc. – Salt Lake City, Utah

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, interpret, and enforce safety policies and practices.
• Read and understand plans, specifications and local building codes.
• Schedules and documents all required inspections, quality testing, or other compliance requirements.
• Comply with and document environmental permits and inspections.
• Read and understand global project schedules and generate two-week construction schedules weekly.
• Schedule and order materials, inspections and manpower in order to meet project schedules and specifications.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
• Confers with and directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
• Maintain a general knowledge of equipment used on the job including basic understanding of equipment limits and designed purposes.
• Negotiate Change Orders
• Prepare and update monthly a P3 scheduling for all jobs
• Monthly tracking of profit and loss on all jobs
• Weekly tracking of Labor performance on all jobs
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives / division manager.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising concrete construction projects in a Superintendent role
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in concrete construction
• Proven expertise with 5+ years of field experience in Portland Cement Concrete Paving (PCCP), including knowledge of relevant concepts, practices, and procedures
