## Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team in the Ball Ground, Georgia area. The ideal candidate will assist patients with physical rehabilitation, therapeutic exercises, mobility training and recovery activities under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

## Responsibilities

- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized patient treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities as prescribed.
- Help patients improve strength, balance, coordination, flexibility and mobility.
- Assist patients with walking, transfers, positioning and the use of mobility aids.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and safe mobility techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and patient progress.
- Follow established patient care, infection control and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting independence and recovery.

## Qualifications

- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and valid Georgia Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- CPR/BLS certification, as required.
- Previous experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation or home healthcare preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
