About This Position

Position Description:

ALAMO RANGER COMMUNICATIONS DISPATCHER

Full-time position with benefits, including employer paid employee only medical, retirement match, paid holidays, PTO, Short Term Disability and more.

$18 an hour

Alamo Ranger dispatchers must answer non-emergency and emergency calls, which require recording information and informing Alamo Rangers, Law Enforcement agencies of an incident. Alamo Rangers will be responsible for logging and the issuance of Visitor, Contractor, Alamo Employee badges while visiting or performing duties at the Alamo. Dispatchers will posses the needed skills that often include typing official statements, assisting people who want to file complaints, and keeping general office records. Dispatch duties will include monitoring the CCTV system and reporting incidents and dispatching Alamo Rangers to incidents that occur on the Alamo Grounds and Buildings.

DUTIES:

Provides visitor services by explaining Alamo regulations, responding to questions and requests, and ensuring safety within the Alamo.

Prepares security reports for management as needed.

May provide first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), or emergency assistance to visitors and Alamo employees.

Interacts with guests, large groups, community organizations, and VIP visitors.

Monitors CCTV and reports incidents to Alamo Rangers and Law Enforcement agencies.

Performs related work as assigned by Alamo Ranger Administration.

Experience and Education

Minimum of three years prior military and or Law Enforcement experience

Usage of CCTV and Radio Communication

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Skill in monitoring and assessing situations; in determining appropriate response; in the use of surveillance, monitoring, and detection equipment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate parking assignments for employees.

Ability to work weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays and extended hours

Typing and filing, computer skills, Micro Soft Office and organizational skills

Communication skills, this position requires to clearly communicate radio transmissions.

Registration, Certification, or Licensure:

Requires level II private security commission certification with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Private Security Bureau (PSB).

Requires First Aid, CPR and AED certification

Requires background investigation.

Requires successfully passing drug and alcohol screening.

Requires completing Emergency Dispatch Training as assigned
