Job Description
What you’ll do:
Strategy & Business Development
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for entering new retail segments and regional markets
Conduct market sizing, competitive landscape analysis, and opportunity assessments to guide business priorities
Build business cases and strategic recommendations for senior leadership, backed by data and market insight
Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities that can accelerate merchant growth
Operational Efficiency
Audit and map existing Retail Sales workflows to surface inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and redundancies
Design and implement process improvements that reduce time-to-close, improve sales team productivity, and enhance merchant experience
Develop SOPs, playbooks, and operational frameworks to standardize best practices across the business unit
Track and report on operational KPIs, flagging risks early and proposing corrective actions
Market Expansion
Lead market research and feasibility studies for new geographies and merchant segments within Indonesia
Work cross-functionally to coordinate the rollout of expansion initiatives from planning through execution
Build and maintain a pipeline of expansion opportunities, tracking milestones and outcomes
Gather and synthesize on-the-ground merchant insights to inform product and commercial decisions
Cross-functional & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the connective tissue between Sales, Product, Operations, and Finance to align business priorities
Prepare high-quality presentations, memos, and reports for business unit leadership and company-level reviews
Support and mentor junior business team members on analytical frameworks and project execution
What we’re looking for:
4–7 years of experience in business development, strategy, management consulting, or operations — preferably in a tech startup, fintech, or high-growth environment
Demonstrated ability to identify business problems and design practical, scalable solutions — not just surface insights
Strong analytical and structured thinking skills; comfortable with data, financial modelling, and building business cases
Experience working in or with a sales business unit, ideally in retail, FMCG, or merchant-facing contexts
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
Self-starter with high ownership, low ego, and a bias for action
Experience in fintech, digital payments, or MSME-focused products in Southeast Asia
