JOB SUMMARY
The Scheduler is responsible for managing schedules provided by builders and ensuring that our schedules accurately reflect those of our customers. This role involves coordinating with customers and coworkers to ensure that installations are dispatched on the correct dates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborates closely with the Labor Manager to ensure capacity is not exceeded
- Tracks and monitors all installation schedules to ensure appropriate resource allocation
- Oversees customer portals to ensure Builders Wholesale meets customer expectations and schedules
- Coordinates with the Purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of materials prior to installation; communicates any delays to customers promptly
- Monitors and classifies shortages accurately, developing processes to prevent them
- Learns and utilizes company operating software, including RFMS and FMS
- Maintains effective communication with customers, subcontractors, and employees
- Fully understands and interprets flooring installation guidelines
- Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, facilitating interaction with multiple departments and customers
- Manages and participates in all warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and deliveries
- Continuously reviews company processes to identify new efficiencies and develop proactive strategies
- Ensures adherence to safety policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment
- Evaluates operational performance and individual performance, identifying areas for improvement
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
