City Supply Corp is a locally owned wholesale distributor of plumbing materials, PVF products, and hydronic heating equipment proudly serving mechanical contractors, plumbing contractors, and service professionals in Iowa since 1952.
We are located just south of downtown Des Moines operating out of a 103,000 square foot office and warehouse.

We are expanding our Inside Sales team. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping customers, communicates clearly, and takes pride in getting the details right the first time. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, and committed to providing the exceptional service our customers have come to expect.
The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service with every interaction. They will respond promptly to customer requests and follow through on commitments as well as maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities throughout the day. A successful candidate will also work collaboratively with sales, warehouse operations, purchasing, and accounting teams as needed while demonstrating a willingness to learn new products and continuously improve product knowledge.
Position: Inside Sales/Order Entry
Compensation: Based on experience. We also offer a strong benefit package including a company matched 401k, health & dental care.
Requirements:Job Duties:
· Assist customers by phone, email, and at the sales counter with product selection, pricing, and availability
· Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, plumbers, and service professionals
· Enter sales orders and maintain accurate customer records within the current software
· Resolve customer questions regarding orders, pricing, shipping, returns, and product specifications
· Recommend alternative or complimentary products when appropriate
· Stay current on plumbing products, industry trends, and vendor offerings
· Work closely with outside sales representatives to support customer accounts.
· Assist customers with warranty claims, special orders, and product returns.
· Help achieve department sales goals through excellent customer service and proactive communication
· Contribute to a positive work environment by assisting coworkers and supporting daily operations.
Qualifications/Competencies:
· Previous customer service or sales experience preferred
· Plumbing, HVAC, construction, or wholesale distribution experience is a plus
· Detail oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
· Comfortable learning technical products and industry terminology
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills
· Basic computer skills with experience in Excel and Epicor Eclipse is a plus
