Position Summary

Animal and Bird Hospital of Del Mar is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team. Primary Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring comfort
• Walk dogs and ensure safe handling at all times
• Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, runs, and hospital areas
• Bathe animals as directed
• Monitor patients for changes in appetite, behavior, or overall condition and report concerns to medical staff
• Maintain laundry, including washing and folding bedding and towels
• Sweep, mop, and maintain overall hospital cleanliness
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain sanitation standards
• Assist veterinary assistants and technicians as needed to support patient care

Qualifications & Skills

• Genuine compassion for animals and commitment to their well-being
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions carefully
• Comfortable working around animals of varying sizes and temperaments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Previous animal care or kennel experience is preferred but not required
