Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a Financial Clearance Authorization Lead who will work directly with the PH Scheduling Manager to ensure effective and efficient departmental operations. This role is responsible for setting up training for new staff, as well as leading and auditing the team in the identification and resolution of issues.
In addition, this position utilizes proactive problem-solving skills and available resources to support system improvements and eliminate Access Center errors. The role also demonstrates a commitment to customer service and presents a positive, caring, and professional image to patients, physicians, customers, and coworkers.
In this role, the Lead will serve as a professional role model for the department and communicate effectively with multiple departments and positions.
This position requires 60% administrative duties and 40% calls and scheduling.
Education
- Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED.
Licensure/Certification
- Addendums are required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse. To view addendums, go to the job description page on Parkview’s intranet.
Experience
- Required: A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
- Preferred: 2 years of clerical experience, including proficiency with Microsoft Windows.
Other Qualifications
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate:
- The ability to train others.
- Analytical skills necessary to research, evaluate, and identify problem areas.
- Organizational skills necessary to lead several complex issues concurrently.
- Knowledge of workflow and process improvement focused on referrals and patient navigation.
