Matheny Medical and Educational Center has a career opportunity available for a Full Time RN Supervisor for our seven (7) Group Homes located in Somerset, NJ; Basking Ridge, NJ; Far Hills, NJ; Frelinghuysen, NJ.

Qualified candidates who are hired for a Full Time position will receive a Signing Bonus of $10,000.00. ($5,000.00 payable after completion of six months of continuous employment and the remaining $5,000.00 after completion of one year of continuous employment).

Duties of this position include:

  • Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and agency policies.
  • Manage and provide clinical oversight to the LPN Coordinator, Group Home LPNs and SRT LPNs.
  • Monitors staff performance and provide coaching and corrective action when necessary.
  • Verify required nursing documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate physician appointments, specialty care, and hospital admission/discharges to ensure continuity of care.
  • Review and update the Critical Information Log and nursing documentation.
  • Manage medication administration procedures and recommend changes, when necessary.
  • Review Medication Administration Records (MARs) for accuracy and follow up with staff for needed corrections.
  • Conduct audits of medical records, medication administration, and medication in the community residences.
  • Develop professional relationships and collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, therapists, case managers, guardians, family members, etc.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions of care.
  • Conduct staff orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing training.
  • Assist the group home leadership team with orienting new DSP and LPN staff for the group home routines.
  • Reviews and supervises the implementation of medically prescribed diets and exercise programs.
  • Confirms the annual ISP for each resident is current and implemented appropriately.
  • Assist with budgeting for medical supplies and equipment.
  • Prepares reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Serves as a clinical resource for staff during emergencies and complex situations.
  • Responds to crises and intervenes as needed.
  • Investigates incidents, medication errors, resident injuries, implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between program physical sites on a regular basis.

The minimum salary for this position is $101,000 annually.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications/Education:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited college of university required.
  • One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Licensed Registered Professional Nurse by the State of New Jersey Board of Nursing.
  • Valid New Jersey Driver's License with an insurable driving record.
