Job Description
You’ll become an expert in the world of your prospects.
That means:
- Researching target accounts, their business priorities, technology landscape and key stakeholders before reaching out.
- Building relationships with senior leaders across retail, financial services and technology.
- Creating personalised, relevant outreach across LinkedIn, email, phone and events.
- Using content and market insights to spark conversations rather than simply pushing a sales pitch.
- Testing different messaging and approaches to understand what genuinely resonates.
- Working closely with Demand Generation, Marketing, Sales and Product to create campaigns around real customer challenges.
- Bringing what you hear from prospects back into Aevi — helping us improve our messaging, content and understanding of the market.
- Qualifying opportunities and creating meaningful conversations for the commercial team.
- Keeping your activity and pipeline organised in Salesforce.
- Staying curious about developments across payments, retail technology and commerce — and turning that knowledge into better conversations.
You won’t just be executing someone else’s playbook. You’ll help us build and improve it.
You genuinely enjoy talking to people.
You’re curious about how businesses work. You like asking questions, understanding challenges and getting under the skin of a customer’s world.
You enjoy learning what’s happening in a market and turning that knowledge into something useful for someone else.
You understand that good outbound isn't about interrupting someone with a generic pitch — it’s about giving them a reason to want to talk to you.
You’re comfortable speaking with different stakeholders and can adapt your message depending on who is on the other side.
You’re also someone who likes to experiment. You see a campaign, message or approach that isn’t working and think: “How could we do this better?”
Most importantly, you’re interested in becoming obsessed with your customers’ world, not just your own product.
You’ll need:
- At least 12 months of SDR experience, ideally in payments, fintech or another B2B technology environment — although payments experience is definitely not a dealbreaker.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with outbound prospecting and creating personalised campaigns.
- Confidence using LinkedIn, email outreach and CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- A strong understanding of how to engage different stakeholders within an account.
- The ability to understand predictable customer pain points and turn them into relevant conversations.
- A track record of contributing to measurable sales pipeline.
- Curiosity about technology, payments, retail or the wider commerce ecosystem.
Even better if you:
- Have experience in payments, fintech or financial services.
- Understand the value of content in modern B2B sales.
- Have worked across international markets or diverse customer segments.
- Have a background in demand generation, digital marketing or campaign management.
If you’re an SDR who wants to understand the market rather than just work through a call list, who gets energy from talking to people and who wants to play a real part in shaping how we grow — we’d love to hear from you.
Come help us make payments more open, flexible and future-ready.
