Job Description
BENDER OPERATOR
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Set up, operate, and monitor aluminum bending equipment according to production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications
- Experience working in a fabrication environment is required
- Basic reading, and writing skills as well as the ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Ability to do basic math quickly and think spatially to make program adjustments.
- Ability to fabricate components
- Understanding of tooling and tooling requirements for different machining operations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Reliability and proven attendance at past jobs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, talk, or hear.
- Ability to lift 10lbs on a consistent basis
- Ability to lift 10-25lbs on a frequent basis
- Ability to lift 25-50lbs on an occasional basis
- Ability to stand for 10 hours per day
- Must be able to work overhead on a frequent basis
- Must be able to work shoulder level on a seldom to frequent basis
- Must be able to have a complete range of movement of the arms and wrist
- Hand dexterity and hand grip
- Ability to complete repetitive functions on a rotational basis
