Job Description
Welder 1 is responsible for welding steel for mechanical strength, critical safety, load requirements, and appearance. Welder 1 works from specifications, drawings, prints and welding symbols. A Welder 1 is acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to operate efficiently through direct supervision.

All duties to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance and availability to work outside of the standard shift hours as needed:
· Fabricate and assemble components to close tolerances and specifications
· Deburring and cleanup of weldments, correct errors and assess own work to ensure quality before part leaves work cell
· Produce consistent quality MIG welds on components to close tolerances and specifications
· Retrieve blueprints off the network and study blueprints to determine project task sequence and requirements to fabricate assemblies and sub-assemblies
· Use auxiliary equipment and tools (drill press, drills, taps, reams, hand grinder, band saw, etc.) safely and effectively
· Stress relief parts using meta-lax stress relieving system
OTHER DUTIES (NON-ESSENTIAL):
· Perform or requests in-shop maintenance as needed
· Examine areas of opportunity for continuous improvement of current processes, procedures, and quality
· Complete Non-Compliance Reports (NCR) as necessary
· Follow work center schedules
· Provide input to ensure routings and drawings are correct
· Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 4:00pm to 2:30am
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED, required)
Experience
· One-year related experience and/or training or an associate degree in related field, preferred

Pay Transparency Statement
In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $19.50 - $27.00 with $1.75 shift differential. Please note that the hourly range provided is an estimate and not a guarantee; the final offer will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, location, and assigned shift. Full-time employees may also be eligible for variable compensation, company-wide incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. Additionally, the availability of benefits and programs may vary depending on the hire date, employment type, and hours worked.
