Risk Manager, Product Claims & Safety in Buford, Georgia at RKG NEWCO LLC

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager for Product Claims & Safety to oversee the management and resolution of insured and uninsured product-related claims involving our residential kitchen appliance products. This position works closely with the General Counsel and serves as a key liaison to the Company's product safety committees, supporting the review of product safety matters and processes and coordinating cross-functional risk management assessments and response activities.

This role will work closely with the Legal team to manage the Company’s claims and product liability litigation risk, as well as collaborating with leaders in operations, customer care, and regulatory compliance teams to help identify emerging risk management issues, mitigate product-related risks, and support the Company's commitment to product safety and consumer protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage product liability, personal injury, property damage, and other product-related claims.
• Coordinate claim investigations, evidence preservation, and claim resolution strategies.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for insurance administrators, adjusters, and carriers on claims matters.
• Analyze claims, incident, and warranty data to identify trends and opportunities to reduce risk.
• Support product safety investigations, corrective actions, and recall-related activities, as needed.
• Serve as a key liaison to product safety committees by coordinating information gathering, supporting committee reviews, and tracking follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering, customer service, quality, and regulatory compliance on product safety matters.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for the Legal & Risk Management team regarding claims activity, product safety trends, and emerging risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, engineering, safety, legal studies, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in risk management, product liability claims management, insurance claims management, product safety, legal, or a related discipline.
• Experience managing complex product liability, personal injury, and property damage claims.
• Strong analytical, investigative, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, durable goods, and/or appliance manufacturing.
• Professional certifications such as ARM, CPCU, CRM, or similar are a plus.
