Job SummaryThe Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing logistics activities across an assigned group of electrical construction projects and directly supervising the Material / Logistics Handlers assigned to those locations.

The role provides multi-project planning, prioritization, supervision, resource coordination, material visibility, and issue resolution while the assigned Handler remains the primary day-to-day logistics contact at each jobsite.Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Project Logistics Coordination
- Maintain visibility of current and upcoming logistics and material requirements across assigned projects.
- Prioritize logistics activity based on project schedules, field requirements, urgency, and operational impact.
- Proactively identify material shortages, delivery conflicts, capacity constraints, and logistics risks before they affect field productivity.
- Coordinate cross-project deliveries, transfers, pickups, returns, material movement, and other activities requiring support beyond an individual jobsite.
- Balance competing project priorities and available logistics resources; identify opportunities to consolidate transportation, deliveries, transfers, or equipment usage.
- Coordinate authorized movement of excess or available materials between projects and resolve issues requiring multi-project coordination.
- Escalate significant project, supplier, staffing, material, or resource concerns to Logistics leadership.
- Provide direction, priorities, and day-to-day supervision to assigned Material / Logistics Handlers.
- Monitor workload, responsiveness, documentation and inventory accuracy, safety, and completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Ensure Handlers have the information, resources, equipment, and support necessary to perform effectively.
- Provide coaching, training, performance feedback, and onboarding support.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to maintain visibility of logistics operations, material conditions, and field-support needs.
- Identify staffing, workload, performance, or resource concerns and escalate as appropriate.
- Maintain consolidated visibility of material availability, inventory status, and significant material requirements across assigned projects.
- Oversee receiving, inventory tracking, transfers, returns, cycle counts, reconciliation, storage, security, and material accountability practices performed at assigned locations.
- Review and coordinate resolution of inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, incorrect shipments, and delivery issues requiring additional support.
- Coordinate with Purchasing regarding supplier and material issues while maintaining Purchasing ownership of commercial and procurement matters.
- Monitor excess and surplus material and coordinate appropriate transfer, return, storage, or disposition.
- Serve as the escalation and coordination point for logistics matters requiring cross-project support, additional resources, or resolution beyond the assigned Handler.
- Maintain visibility of significant deliveries, shortages, transfers, returns, inventory issues, and unresolved logistics matters.
- Provide regular updates to Logistics leadership regarding material constraints, staffing/resource needs, Handler performance, and emerging risks.
- Use company systems to maintain visibility of materials, deliveries, inventory, transfers, and logistics activity.
- Monitor recurring issues, support logistics KPIs and service expectations, and identify opportunities to improve coordination, material utilization, and field support.
- Ensure Handlers comply with company, OSHA, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Monitor PPE, equipment operation, material handling, storage, housekeeping, and jobsite safety practices.
- Address unsafe practices or conditions promptly and escalate significant safety concerns.
- Ensure material storage and staging areas remain clean, organized, secure, and safe and that accidents, incidents, property damage, and safety concerns are properly reported.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in logistics, supply chain, construction management, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in construction logistics, material management, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
- Electrical or commercial construction experience strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory, team-lead, or multi-site coordination experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction logistics, material coordination, inventory control, receiving, deliveries, transfers, and returns.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate competing priorities across multiple jobsites.
- Strong organizational, planning, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with applicable inventory, purchasing, warehouse, or project-management systems.
- Ability to read and understand purchase orders, material requests, delivery documentation, schedules, and basic construction documents.
- Professional, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently with appropriate escalation.
- Primarily a logistics coordination and supervisory position operating across office, warehouse, and active jobsite environments.
- Regular travel among assigned project locations is required.
- Ability to walk active construction sites, work outdoors in varying conditions, and wear required PPE.
- Ability to occasionally handle materials as necessary; routine physical material handling is not a primary responsibility.
- Assigned projects receive consistent and responsive logistics support.
- Handlers have clear priorities, resources, direction, and accountability.
- Material and logistics risks are identified and addressed before they negatively affect field productivity or project schedules.
- Competing project priorities and logistics resources are effectively balanced.
- Inventory and material-movement information remains accurate and current.
- Issues are resolved at the appropriate level and escalated when necessary.
- Logistics leadership has timely visibility of significant material, staffing, delivery, and project-support risks.
- Logistics operations are performed safely and consistently.
