Warehouse Manager
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Employment Type: Full-time, on-site, hourly/nonexempt
Schedule: Primarily first shift, with flexibility to support other shifts and occasional weekends
Reports To: Director of Supply Chain
Pay Range: $28.00–$34.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations at our Milwaukee manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for shipping, receiving, material handling, truck scheduling, inventory accuracy, and the daily leadership of warehouse employees.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage daily shipping, receiving, storage, staging, and material-handling activities.
· Lead, train, schedule, and develop shipping, receiving, and material-handling employees.
· Establish daily priorities and ensure adequate coverage across shifts.
· Coordinate inbound and outbound truck schedules, carrier pickups, and deliveries.
· Ensure customer shipments are accurate, properly documented, and shipped on time.
· Maintain accurate inventory locations and system transactions.
· Oversee cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
· Coordinate material availability and movement with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Customer Service.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse using 5S and continuous-improvement practices.
· Track warehouse performance, including on-time shipping, shipping accuracy, inventory accuracy, and receiving turnaround time.
Requirements:Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in supply chain, logistics, or business preferred.
· Five or more years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material-handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
· At least two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
· Experience coordinating carriers, truck schedules, and inbound and outbound shipments.
· Strong understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, and material flow.
· Experience using an ERP or warehouse-management system; Epicor experience is a plus.
· Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Forklift experience or certification preferred.
Working Conditions
· Requires frequent time on the warehouse and production floors.
· Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
· Requires appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes.
