Haik Humble Eye Center is a busy and growing eye care practice looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our Monroe team.

Our Patient Care Coordinators are often the first impression our patients have when they walk through our doors. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and can provide a welcoming, positive experience—even on our busiest days. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office, takes pride in accuracy, communicates well, and understands the importance of exceptional patient service.

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will work closely with our clinical and administrative teams to help keep patient visits running smoothly from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Warmly greet patients and guests and provide clear instructions or directions as needed
  • Accurately check patients in for scheduled appointments
  • Review patient paperwork for accuracy and completion
  • Update patient demographic and contact information
  • Obtain and enter medical and vision insurance information
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits and communicate with insurance companies when necessary
  • Scan and maintain patient documents within the electronic medical record
  • Assist patients with general questions regarding insurance benefits, payments, and account information
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with scheduling, billing, insurance, and general patient questions
  • Communicate patient questions or treatment concerns to the appropriate clinical team member
  • Maintain communication with clinical staff to support efficient and timely patient care
  • Recognize patient concerns and communicate service issues to the Front Office Manager when appropriate
  • Protect patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA requirements
  • Assist with additional front-office responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

· Medical office experience preferred, not required

· Proven record of working in a fast-paced environment required

· Ability to multi-task effectively and work with a team, quick thinker

· Perform with a high level of accuracy under pressure

· Interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication
