Account Representative

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ
Department: Eligibility
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM OR 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Full-Time)

About the Role

PATHS, LLC is seeking a reliable and patient-focused Account Representative to support our healthcare clients from our Cherry Hill, NJ office.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working directly with patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and serving as a key liaison between hospitals, insurance providers, and internal teams. The Account Representative plays an essential role in patient advocacy and medical assistance support.

Physician and Tactical Healthcare Services (PATHS), LLC provides comprehensive account receivable management, patient advocacy, and consultation services to healthcare organizations across the region.

Founded in 2000, PATHS employs approximately 400 team members across four offices in PA, NJ, and DE, supporting more than 100 healthcare clients. Our clients include hospitals, physician groups, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, clinics, emergency departments, medical transport services, home health agencies, and behavioral health providers. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with applying for medical assistance and benefit programs
  • Counsel patients on medical bills, insurance coverage, and available financial resources
  • Work collaboratively with patients, physicians, nursing staff, pharmaceutical providers, and insurance companies
  • Accurately document patient interactions and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Perform administrative and account management duties related to patient eligibility and financial assistance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented, trustworthy, organized, and goal-driven
  • Comfortable working in healthcare environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a healthcare facility
  • Insurance billing, Medicaid eligibility, or revenue cycle experience
  • Patient advocacy or social work background

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
  • Occasional movement within healthcare facilities as needed
  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds

Pre-Employment Requirements

Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of applicable screenings in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. These may include:

Compensation & Benefits

$17-$19 per hour based on experience.
