Job Level Description:

The Senior Business Analyst will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and Agile development teams, responsible for translating business needs into actionable requirements and supporting the successful delivery of software solutions. This individual will leverage strong business analysis, functional analysis, and Agile delivery experience to manage requirements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), maintain the product backlog in Azure DevOps, support testing activities, and lead end-user training efforts.

Working closely with the Federal client, all their stakeholders, the Project Manager, Solution Architect, developers, and testers, the Senior Business Analyst will help ensure business requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, tested, and successfully implemented.

• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements.

• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions.

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

• Develop and maintain business requirements documents, process flows, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Manage and maintain the product backlog in Azure DevOps (ADO).

• Create, refine, and prioritize Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks in collaboration with project stakeholders.

• Support Agile Scrum delivery by participating in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Partner with the Project Manager and Solution Architect to support sprint execution and ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.

• Collaborate with developers and testers to clarify requirements and resolve functional issues.

• Support testing activities, including test planning, test scenario development, test execution, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect management.

• Validate delivered functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Develop user guides, training materials, quick reference guides, and other end-user documentation.

• Conduct end-user training sessions, demonstrations, and knowledge transfer activities.

• Support user adoption and operational readiness activities during system implementation and deployment.

• Prepare meeting materials, status updates, and other project documentation as required.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 8 years as a Business Analyst supporting software development, system implementation, or application modernization projects.

• Strong verbal and written communication is a must.

• Pro-active and independent, solicits feedback from team members and Federal client.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships, facilitate collaboration across business and technical teams, and drive assigned activities to successful completion. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Experience working within Agile Scrum software development environments.

• Experience managing and maintaining product backlogs using Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, or similar Agile management tools.

• Experience developing Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, business requirements, and functional specifications.

• Must facilitate stakeholder meetings and requirements workshops.

• Experience supporting testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test execution, and defect management.

• Experience developing and delivering end-user training.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Must have experience supporting Federal clients on large-scale programs.

• Experience supporting software modernization or digital transformation initiatives.

• Experience with business process modeling and workflow analysis.

• Experience supporting change management and user adoption initiatives.

• Experience working closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and cross-functional Agile teams.

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO)
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
