About the role
The position is Grooming Channel Manager. The mission is to grow all facets of our grooming service line across the Digs portfolio and all brands. Implement strategies to stand up The Digs Way of grooming and bathing, attract and develop talent to maintain and grow the service line, and constantly audit and improve our grooming activities along the way. This role reports to our Director of Growth, who works remotely in North Carolina, while the VP of Growth is based out of Dig’s Chicago HQ.
Responsibilities
As a manager at Digs, this role is expected to have a combination of leadership qualities and individual contriutor responsibilities. This role does not have direct reports, but rather is expected to have influence throughout the organization
- Drive top line organic growth of the Dig’s Grooming service offering across the Digs’ portfolio
- Develops & deploy the national grooming strategy, integrating it consistently across all the facilities and brands
- Leads workforce planning for grooming talent across Digs in partnership with HR and Operations
- Owns the attraction, development, and acquisition of Grooming talent nationally, in partnership with Operations to growth the service line
- Develops SOPs and “the Digs Way”, of grooming within 4-wall operations, and deploys them consistently across the network
- Manages and inspires the team of groomers alongside General Managers and operations, building and strengthening the Grooming culture at Digs
- Audits grooming operations on an ongoing basis to improve the top-line growth and profitability of the service line and ensure the Digs Way is alive and well
- Partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Facilities to ensure grooming is well-represented in our rand, onboarding, and space planning discussions
- Ability to take on projects as needed
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing groomers in a pet boarding & grooming operations
- 10+ years of direct experience as a groomer in an entrepreneurial environment
- Leadership experience multiple locations at scale
- Proven ability to work cross functional in a multi-site multi-layered operations organization
- Proven track record of leading without authority by building trust and influence across a matrixed, multi-site organization to drive results without direct reporting lines
- Experience with P&L management of scaled grooming operation
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%, both to the Digs HQ and to various locations nationwide

Total compensation for this role falls within the range of $70,000 - $80,000, which includes a combination of salary and an annual bonus.

The pay range for this role is:
70,000 - 80,000 USD per year(Chicago HQ)
