Accounting Clerk
REPORTS TO: Finance Manager
DEPT: Finance
LOCATION: Arlington, WA
This entry level position is critical in supporting the Finance Manager and ensuring that the day to day accounting functions assigned to the position are completed accurately & timely. Primarily responsible for most cash outflow functions.
As the company continues to experience growth, job duties may be adjusted to meet the company needs most efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:What You Will Do
Accounts Payable: Process accounts payable, ensuring that all invoices are accurately recorded into accounting software. Prepare weekly AP batches & submit for approval. Answer inquiries from vendors while maintaining positive vendor relationships. Vendor setup. Vendor statements reconciliation. Inquire with vendors for any discrepancies found.
Contract Compliance: Track & pay contract fees monthly/quarterly/annually per contract agreements. Maintain accurate records of submissions.
Expense Tracking: Review employee credit card expenses ensuring accuracy in coding, added to the appropriate jobs when applicable, and compliance with company policies; flagging and resolving and discrepancies. Sync the transactions weekly to Zoho for effective cost & account reconciliations.
Record Maintenance: File, scan, and organize invoices, credits, receipts, and statements into Zoho system for proper record keeping.
Benefits: Reconcile the monthly invoices for Employee benefits ensuring accuracy and adjusting as necessary. New employee enrollment & termination with providers.
Administrative Support: Provide clerical support to the finance department, including answering phones, responding to emails, filing, and processing mail. Always maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Assist with other accounting projects and tasks as assigned.
What You Will Bring
- High School Diploma (Required).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Preferred).
- 0-2 years prior accounting experience.
- Experience in Zoho, Paylocity, or similar ERP.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What To Expect
This position is 8 hours per day 5 days per week in office; additional hours may be required during peak times or projects. As a non-exempt salary employee, all overtime must be approved in advance by your manager.
This position is benefits eligible including: Holiday pay, PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Supplemental insurance, and 401K Benefits, after applicable waiting period(s).
The salary wage for this position is $60,000.00 annually. Performance reviews are conducted annually and may include raises.
