The Director of Learning & Development will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of talent development initiatives that align employee growth with organizational priorities. This role requires a strong balance of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with business goals, workforce needs, and future capabilities.
- Design scalable learning programs covering technical skills, professional development, leadership growth, and role-specific competencies.
- Own curriculum strategy and delivery for major learning initiatives, ensuring engaging, consistent, and valuable experiences for employees.
- Partner with HR teams, business leaders, subject matter experts, and external providers to deliver impactful development programs.
- Enhance performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, calibration, manager enablement, and employee development planning.
- Identify high-potential talent, skill gaps, and development opportunities through talent reviews, mentoring programs, and targeted initiatives.
- Build leadership development frameworks and support succession planning to strengthen the future leadership pipeline.
- Create career development pathways that improve internal mobility, employee engagement, and readiness for future roles.
- Support AI capability-building initiatives by partnering with enablement teams to develop learning frameworks and adoption strategies.
- Establish metrics and reporting processes to measure learning effectiveness, employee growth, engagement, retention, and business impact.
- Continuously improve programs based on feedback, data analysis, organizational priorities, and emerging industry practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing guidance on talent development, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is an experienced learning and talent development leader with a strong background in building people strategies, developing leaders, and driving organizational transformation. You should have experience partnering with senior stakeholders and creating scalable programs in complex business environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Business Administration, Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organizational Development, HR Business Partnership, or related HR leadership roles.
- Proven experience creating and implementing learning strategies, leadership programs, career development initiatives, and scalable training solutions.
- Strong background managing performance management processes, including reviews, calibration, goal setting, and manager enablement.
- Demonstrated experience with talent reviews, succession planning, high-potential identification, and employee development strategies.
- Experience managing, coaching, or mentoring HR professionals, learning teams, or business partners.
- Professional services, consulting, technology services, systems integration, or similar industry experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with technology ecosystems and Microsoft-related solution areas such as Dynamics 365, Data & AI, Power Platform, or Azure is a plus.
- Experience using data and workforce insights to measure program effectiveness and improve employee development initiatives.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong organization, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Experience with performance management platforms is required; familiarity with PerformYard is highly desirable.
