DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This job description is a record of the essential functions of the listed job. POPULATION SERVED

The position involves no direct patient care for a population of patients ages 18 and older. Age specific experience and/or special training and/or expertise are not required.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Assist with installing and maintaining local desktop, maintain system documentation.
  • Provide technical support to users with the help of support desk and network team.
  • Assist network team in trouble shoots problems with network equipment and performs equipment repair or upgrades when appropriate.
  • Individuals in this position are expected to be available during the normal business hours of the establishment and may occasionally be asked to vary their schedule and/or work overtime to meet department requirements.
  • Analysis, judgment, attention to detail, dependability, informal communication, initiative, knowledge of work, sensitivity, teamwork, technical/professional self-development, work standards and adhere to the facility professional appearance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with installation, configuration, maintenance, modification, and operation of Local Area Networks.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to network users such as password resets and creating email accounts.
  • Install PCs, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Assist with PC, network configuration and cabling.
  • Assist to administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network cabling and other networking equipment.
  • Assists with installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Management of computer labs, installing any software needed for each quarter and/or special events. Travel to off-site location may be required.
  • Assists with ordering software, hardware and other supplies as required for the institutional computer network, personal computer, and computer labs.
  • Assists with maintenance of the phone system.
  • Assist with the setup of technology for meetings, orientation/in-services, conferences, events, etc. This might require travel to an off-site location.
  • May perform other duties as needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in computer science, data processing or related field.
  • Three years of IT/Helpdesk support experience is desired.
  • Ability to install software and hardware on networking equipment and microcomputers.
  • Familiarity with a variety of networking and personal computer software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on, computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Ability to communicate information to staff and the public in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability and desire to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to other employees and/or students of the organization.
  • Able to anticipate the needs of others and work independently.
  • Ability to focus on quality outcomes and adapt quickly to change as necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines appropriately.

  • Follows Prescribed/Recommended Treatment – Follows the prescribed/recommended treatment given by treating physician(s) after an accident/injury.

  • ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY – Follows all facility guidelines outlining standards of attendance and punctuality. Responsible for reporting to and completing work at assigned times.
