We are currently looking for: Lead Full stack Developer
Requirements:
We are looking for a Lead Full stack Developer / Lead Frontend-Platform Developer to join our Digital Experience Platform (DXP) Team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern frontend architectures, reusable module integration, server-side rendering (SSR), Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns, API orchestration, caching strategies, and enterprise CMS or e-commerce platforms. Comparable experience with frameworks other than React, Next.js, Optimizely, provided the individual has a strong development background and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and integration of Feature Team packages, Optimizely platform, backend APIs, SSR capabilities, and CDN caching into a unified production system.
• Define and enforce architecture standards for platform-wide integration with reusable packages, module publishing lifecycles, and versioning procedures.
• Implement best practices for managing API integration strategies, caching decisions, SSR compatibility, and production rollout workflows.
• Collaborate with Feature Teams, API development teams, CMS stakeholders, and governance bodies to ensure smooth and reliable multi-layer integration.
• Act as the technical lead for complex scenarios, such as SSR compatibility challenges, caching risks for sensitive user data, and module integration conflicts.
• Mentor developers, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and promoting growth within the team.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in modern frontend architecture, including component-based architecture, routing, state management, data fetching, forms and validation, client-side rendering vs. server-side rendering, static site generation, hydration, and performance optimization.
• Expertise in integration and governance of reusable modules using package management tools like npm, Yarn, pnpm, or Bun, with excellent knowledge of semantic versioning, dependency conflicts, rollback strategies, and package publishing workflows.
• Deep understanding of SSR architectures, rendering models, and frameworks such as Next.js, Nuxt, SvelteKit, Angular Universal, Remix, or Express-based backend-for-frontend solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of caching strategies, including cache-control headers, edge caching (Cloudflare/Akamai), TTLs, stale content management, and personalized content cache separation.
• Broad familiarity with CMS and DXP platforms such as Optimizely, Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful, Drupal, or similar systems, with concepts like content modeling, translations, hybrid/headless architecture, and editorial workflows.
• Proficiency in API integration, including REST API design, authentication protocols, OpenAPI contracts, retry logic, error handling, logging, and rate limits.
• Experience overseeing CI/CD practices and production workflows in multi-team delivery environments.
Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
• Strong leadership abilities to define and implement standards across multiple teams.
• Effective communication skills to clearly convey technical decisions and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor team members and foster collaboration across teams.
• Strategic mindset to resolve architectural challenges and ensure production stability.
• Adaptable and capable of learning new frameworks and solving complex challenges.
Requirements
• At least 8+ years of experience working with relevant technologies in fullstack or frontend-platform development roles.
• Expertise in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue, Angular, Ember, Svelte), SSR architectures, BFF integration patterns, and platform governance.
• Proven experience leading teams within complex, multi-team enterprise delivery environments.
• Minimum English proficiency level of B2 to ensure clear communication and global team collaboration.
Location: Lisbon, Porto or Braga - Hybrid 2x
Range Salarial
