Sr. Data Analytics Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Data Analytics Engineer based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence, enabling enterprise-wide decision-making through scalable data solutions.
You will design and deliver high-performance data models, pipelines, and visualizations that power self-service analytics across multiple business units.
The position focuses on building a modern data ecosystem that ensures accuracy, accessibility, and reliability of enterprise reporting.
You will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and governance teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
The environment is fast-paced and innovation-driven, with a strong emphasis on data quality, performance, and business impact.
You will play a key role in shaping dashboards, data warehouses, and transformation layers used by global stakeholders.
This is a highly collaborative role where technical expertise directly supports strategic business decisions.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and implement scalable data models, ETL processes, and visualization layers to support enterprise analytics and reporting needs.
  • Build and maintain dashboards aligned with business requirements, ensuring accurate data integration and effective visualization design.
  • Develop and optimize data transformation pipelines using modern ETL tools, including creation of fact and dimension models.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical data and reporting solutions.
  • Support full lifecycle development, from requirements gathering through data modeling, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Maintain and enhance data warehouse and data mart environments to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and anomalies in collaboration with engineering and platform teams.
  • Implement and support CI/CD practices for data workflows and analytics solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including data engineering, governance, and analytics to ensure alignment of data standards and processes.
  • Improve data quality, governance, and accessibility through continuous optimization of data flows and architecture.
  • Document technical solutions, data models, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
  • Enable self-service analytics by educating and supporting business users in leveraging reporting tools effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 5+ years of relevant software or data engineering experience.
  • Strong experience in data modeling, ETL development, and enterprise data warehouse design.
  • Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including virtual warehouse optimization and data modeling.
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau and SAP HANA/SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Proficiency with dbt for data transformation and orchestration workflows.
  • Experience working within CI/CD frameworks and modern data engineering pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of data architecture and transformation logic.
  • Familiarity with Python and/or Java for data processing and engineering tasks.
  • Knowledge of data ingestion and replication tools such as HVR is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to data accuracy and performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document technical work clearly and effectively.
