Job Description

The work schedule for this role is uniquely dynamic, operating during graveyard shifts and weekends, when Casino Vancouver’s most dedicated players are on the floor and the property takes on a vibrant, late‑night energy. These hours place you at the center of peak VIP engagement, where the atmosphere is focused, fast‑moving, and full of opportunities to create memorable guest moments. Team members can expect to be on their feet for extended periods, moving throughout the gaming floor while remaining visible, approachable, and guest focused.

This schedule includes non‑traditional hours — including holidays and special event nights — contributing to the excitement and rhythm of delivering exceptional service when it matters most.

Key Accountabilities

  • Guest Engagement — Greet all guests with warmth and professionalism, offering information on amenities, events, and promotions while ensuring their immediate needs are met.
  • VIP Carded Play Promotion — Encourage guests to use their Encore Rewards or Privé cards to enhance their experience and support increased carded play.
  • Relationship Building — Support the development of meaningful guest relationships by providing personalized service to both new and returning VIP players.
  • Guest Recognition — Identify frequent guests, welcome them warmly, and notify Slot or Table Games leadership when appropriate to elevate their experience.
  • Operational Communication — Communicate guest needs, preferences, and observations to operational teams to ensure a seamless and coordinated service experience.
  • Event Hosting Support — Assist with hosting duties during VIP and property events, ensuring guests receive attentive, high‑touch service throughout.
  • Regulatory Compliance — Adhere to all licensing laws, health and safety requirements, and statutory regulations.
  • AML Compliance — Follow Anti‑Money Laundering policies and procedures with accuracy and vigilance.
  • Guest Services Support — Provide assistance to Guest Services during peak periods or high‑volume times to maintain service excellence.
  • Encore & Privé Promotion — Promote and enroll guests into Encore Rewards and Privé programs, clearly communicating benefits with enthusiasm.
  • Comp Tool Accuracy — Use internal comp tools accurately when extending approved offers to guests.
  • Player Development Support — Assist the Player Development team with outreach initiatives, follow‑up tasks, and guest engagement activities as directed.
  • VIP Event Preparation — Prepare materials, guest lists, and hosting areas to ensure smooth and polished VIP event execution.
  • Issue Resolution — Respond to guest concerns with professionalism and escalate matters to the VIP Host or Supervisor when needed.
  • Reporting Assistance — Support the preparation of simple reports or information gathering related to promotions, events, or guest activity.
  • Confidentiality Stewardship — Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard all sensitive guest information.
  • Additional Duties — Perform other duties as assigned to support Player Development and overall guest experience.

Education & Qualifications

  • Guest Service Experience — Minimum 2 years of guest service experience in a fast‑paced, service‑driven environment.
  • Gaming Experience Asset — Previous experience in Slots or Table Games is an asset but not required.
  • Flexible Availability — Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, thriving during high‑energy peak periods.
  • Additional Languages — Multilingual abilities are an asset and enhance engagement with a diverse guest base.
  • Technical Proficiency — Computer literacy in MS Office applications; familiarity with Salesforce is an asset.
  • Communication Skills — Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, with polished telephone etiquette.
  • Guest Service Excellence — Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality guest service with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Gaming License Eligibility — Ability to obtain and maintain a Gaming Worker License through IGCO
  • Valid Serving It Right certificate.

Compensation for this position is based on experience, with a salary range of $54,000–$68,000. While placement within the range depends on qualifications, the target hiring salary is approximately $60,000. This position is also eligible for a company bonus program tied to overall organizational performance.

Work Environment

This role is centered around graveyard shifts and weekends, supporting guest activity during the late‑night hours when the property is at its most focused and high‑energy. Team members can expect to be standing and walking for extended periods throughout the gaming floor, maintaining a visible, approachable presence while engaging with guests. The pace is steady, guest‑driven, and requires comfort working during non‑traditional hours.
