MDM Senior Executive

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a MDM – Senior Executive based in India.

We are seeking a detail-oriented MDM – Senior Executive to support master data management operations within a global shared services environment. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across business systems, ensuring that master data supports efficient financial and operational processes. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to create, update, validate, and monitor customer, vendor, and item master records while contributing to data quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. This position offers exposure to enterprise-scale systems, cross-functional teams, and process optimization projects. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy and operational excellence. Accountabilities:
  • Manage the creation, maintenance, and updating of master data records, including customer, vendor, and item master information, following established approval processes.
  • Gather, validate, administer, and cleanse master data to ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy across business systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain required data and ensure timely processing of master data requests.
  • Monitor master data quality by identifying duplicates, inconsistencies, missing information, and other data integrity issues.
  • Conduct data validation checks, audits, and reviews before finalizing entries to maintain compliance with business standards.
  • Investigate and resolve data-related discrepancies, system issues, and master data errors.
  • Support system enhancements, testing activities, upgrades, and implementation of new data management tools and processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of master data reports and operational metrics for internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all assigned activities are completed within defined turnaround times and service level agreements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing data quality, efficiency, and process effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification, preferably in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Master Data Management, shared services, finance operations, or related business support functions.
  • Strong understanding of master data governance principles, data quality management, and data maintenance processes.
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP and related modules.
  • Good knowledge of finance and accounting processes within a shared services environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and data management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and data integrity.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and service level requirements.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts aligned with business requirements and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Willingness to travel when required and transition to a hybrid work model in accordance with organizational guidelines.
