BASIC SUMMARY:

Provide statistical programming support in the project specific programming of statistical tables, listings, figures, and analysis datasets for clinical trials in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) set forth by PharPoint Research, Inc. and its sponsor clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and produce statistical programs used for creation, validation, and documentation of statistical programs used in creating datasets and statistical displays based on specifications provided.
  • Possess knowledge of data manipulation techniques, listing and table generation and validation, and basic macro use.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of analyses, data reporting, and project activities executed.
  • Successfully represent the department in internal team meetings.
  • Work with internal project team to identify project priorities and communicate such activities and associated timelines to departmental management.
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze information and develop innovative solutions to programming and data analysis challenges.
  • Demonstrate ability to complete work within known time and budget constraints.
  • Communicate accurate and timely status updates to other project team members and department management.
  • Actively adapt and adjust priorities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Successfully balance multiple priorities.
  • Work effectively and cooperatively with other staff members.
  • May attend related continuing education programs, professional meetings, and/or company career development activities sponsored or approved by the company.
  • Understand and comply with all company policies and SOPs.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: Experience in clinical research is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure: None
  • Other: Effective team player: willingness to go the extra distance to get results, meet deadlines, etc. Able to manage conflicting priorities and to be flexible when priorities change. Knowledge of one or more statistical software packages used to conduct statistical analyses required. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and type at a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • General office working conditions, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

COMMENTS:

  • This position may require occasional domestic/international travel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no limitations on driving availability.
