Status: Part-Time/Hourly
Pay Range: $24.00-$27.00/hour
POSITION PURPOSE
The Groundskeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining the building, grounds and mechanical equipment with particular attention towards safety and security.

Responsibilities:
Understands and abides by all safety protocols.
Willingly embrace last-minute changes in direction and unexpected changes in operational plan.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program
Check work orders and night report for any assignment to be completed
Perform Preventive Maintenance work orders. For example:
Monitor and maintain all laundry and kitchen equipment
Maintain guestrooms using rooms preventive maintenance program
Change air-conditioning filters per the maintenance program
Check HVAC equipment; change filters, belts, bearings and lubricate as necessary. Also check for unusual noise or vibration, and adjust as necessary
Change or repair locks as needed
Perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas
Perform guest requests as assigned
Assist in all phases of repair work
Assist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisor
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of all tools. Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces
Ensure security of any assigned keys
Complete any/all assigned projects

Job Overview
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of the hotel's exterior grounds, gardens, and outdoor common areas to ensure a welcoming first impression for guests. This role performs a variety of landscaping, grounds maintenance, and light outdoor repair tasks, working closely with the Engineering/Facilities team to keep the property's exterior in excellent condition year-round.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns, hedges, and shrubs on a regular schedulePlant, water, fertilize, and prune flowers, trees, and landscaping bedsRemove weeds, debris, litter, and leaves from grounds, walkways, and parking areasMonitor and maintain irrigation systems, reporting malfunctions promptlyClear seasonal hazards from walkways, entrances, and parking lotsMaintain outdoor furniture, signage, fountains, and pool decking areas as applicableOperate and maintain grounds equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, etc.) safely and report needed repairsAssist with setup and breakdown of outdoor events as neededConduct routine walk-throughs to identify and address safety hazards or maintenance needsSupport general property upkeep in coordination with the Engineering/Maintenance teamFollow all safety protocols when handling equipment, chemicals, and fertilizersRequirements
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasksComfortable operating landscaping equipment and power toolsStrong attention to detail and pride in property appearanceReliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidaysValid driver's license may be requiredStrong communication and teamwork skillsEducation & Experience
