Job Description

About Atmosphere TV

Atmosphere TV is the world's leading streaming TV platform built for business — powering screens in restaurants, bars, gyms, airports, and waiting rooms across the country. We deliver premium, sound-off content and contextually relevant advertising to four distinct audiences: venue owners and operators, advertisers and brand marketers, content creators, and the everyday people in those spaces.

We are a company that moves fast, thinks big, and is building something genuinely new in the media landscape. Our marketing team is small, ambitious, and growing. Every person who joins adds real weight to the mission. We operate as a shared service and truly believe that marketing is a force multiplier to the great work and product that currently exists.

About the role

Atmosphere TV runs hundreds of events each year — spanning two distinct sales teams (Ad Sales and Venue Sales), across trade shows, industry summits, client dinners, product showcases, tentpole activations, and everything in between. These events are central to how we grow our business, deepen relationships, and put our brand in front of the people who matter most to us.

We are looking for a Director of Marketing + Events to bring strategic leadership and executional excellence to this function. You will serve as a hands-on leader to a small and mighty existing events team, and work in close partnership with our Ad Sales Marketing team and Creative team to ensure every event we touch reflects who Atmosphere TV is — and advances what we're trying to build.

This is not a coordinator role and it's not a purely strategic one either. You will own the vision for how Atmosphere TV shows up at events, manage the budget with rigor and transparency, keep every stakeholder over-informed, and then go make it happen. You'll also bring real marketing depth — especially in social media and content marketing — to support the broader team and add horsepower where it's needed most.

The person who thrives here leads with humanity. You don't boss people around — you earn trust, you collaborate generously, and you make the people around you better. Our team is a genuinely exceptional group of thinkers and we need someone who respects that and rises to it.

What you'll do

This role is roughly 60% events strategy and execution, 40% marketing generalist — with social and content as your marketing center of gravity.

Event Strategy & Leadership

Own the strategic vision for how Atmosphere TV shows up at events across both the Ad Sales and Venue Sales functions — ensuring each event has a clear objective, a defined audience, and a thoughtful plan to deliver against both.Build and maintain a master events calendar that spans hundreds of activations annually — from large industry conferences and summits to intimate client dinners and field marketing moments.Serve as the strategic connective tissue between the two sales teams, making sure events are planned with intentionality and that each team has what they need to show up prepared and on-brand.Lead pre-event strategy: set goals, define the approach, brief stakeholders, and establish a clear picture of what success looks like before anyone steps foot on-site.Identify opportunities for Atmosphere TV to show up in new ways — sponsorships, hosted experiences, tentpole moments — that build brand recognition and generate meaningful conversations.

Event Execution & Operations

Lead and develop a small existing events team, bringing structure, clarity, and mentorship to a group that is ready for strong leadership.Own the events budget with full transparency — tracking spend, flagging variances early, reconciling after every event, and communicating proactively to stakeholders and leadership.Build and maintain systems for over-communication: event briefs, run-of-show documents, stakeholder updates, and post-event recaps that keep everyone aligned before, during, and after.Partner closely with the Ad Sales Marketing team, who creates materials and assets for events, to ensure everything is briefed correctly, produced on time, and on-brand.Collaborate with the Creative team on the right way to show up at each event — from booth design and signage to digital screens, branded swag, and leave-behind materials — ensuring Atmosphere TV looks and feels like the premium platform it is.

Social Media & Content Marketing

Co-own Atmosphere TV's social media presence — with a strong voice, a clear editorial calendar, and a consistent cadence that builds audience and engagement across platforms.Bring a content marketing mindset to the events function: document events in real time, create social-first content from premier activations, and extend the life of each event through smart post-event distribution.Develop content programs that serve our four audiences — venue owners, advertisers, content creators, and in-venue viewers — with relevant, platform-appropriate storytelling.Collaborate with the broader marketing team on influencer and creator integrations that amplify event moments and brand milestones.

Cross-Functional Marketing Support

Serve as a strong generalist marketing partner to the SVP, Head of Marketing — picking up integrated campaign work, copy reviews, brief development, and strategic projects as the team's needs evolve.Bring marketing rigor to how the sales teams think about their event presence: help them tell the Atmosphere TV story compellingly, consistently, and with the right materials in hand.Contribute to the broader brand-building effort — from PR support to content ideation — as a true leader on a small, high-output team.

Qualifications

10+ years of marketing experience with a meaningful concentration in events strategy and execution — you've owned a large, complex events calendar before and you know what it takes.A strong marketing generalist: you understand paid, owned, earned, and shared media, and you can provide real value beyond events when the team needs it.Exceptionally organized and a relentless over-communicator — you run a tight ship, nothing falls through the cracks, and the people you work with always know what's happening and what's coming.Skilled at managing budgets with discipline and transparency — you track every dollar, report proactively, and make smart tradeoffs when needed.A natural collaborator who works fluidly across teams — events doesn't live in a silo here, and you thrive in a matrixed environment where relationship-building is part of the job.A social media and content marketing whiz — you have a genuine instinct for what performs, what resonates, and how to build a brand presence that grows over time.A leader who develops people, not just manages them — you bring structure and standards to a small team while creating the conditions for them to do their best work.A creative thinker who cares about how things look and feel — you have opinions about brand presence, event aesthetics, and what it means to show up well, and you know how to brief a creative team to get there.Comfortable in a scrappy, fast-moving environment where plans shift, no job is too small, and a bias toward action is a virtue.Human, warm, and grounded — you lead with respect, you earn trust by doing excellent work, and you'd never ask someone to do something you wouldn't do yourself.

Nice to Have

Experience at a media, ad tech, CTV, streaming, or place-based media company — you understand the landscape we operate in.Familiarity with B2B marketing and/or sales-adjacent event marketing — you know how to serve two very different sales team audiences simultaneously.Experience with both large-scale trade shows (think: CES, Cannes) and high-touch client event formats — you can operate at both ends of the spectrum. Background working alongside or inside a creative team — you know how to brief clearly, give useful feedback, and get great work out of collaborators.Email/newsletter creation and deployment, specifically work within Hubspot

Why Atmosphere TV

We are building something genuinely new at the intersection of streaming, advertising, and physical spaces — and we're still early enough that the people who join now will shape what this brand becomes. You'll have real ownership, a seat at the table, and a team that takes the craft seriously.

Events are not an afterthought here — they are a primary driver of how we build relationships, open new conversations, and establish Atmosphere TV in the market. You'll lead a function that the whole company cares about, with the support and strategic partnership of a SVP who wants to help you succeed.
