Server in Clarkston, Michigan at Kruse and Muer Restaurants

We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and service-driven Server to join our front-of-house team! Our servers are responsible for creating memorable dining experiences by providing exceptional hospitality, building genuine connections with guests, and delivering attentive, efficient service. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests promptly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the food, beverage, wine, beer, and cocktail menus to confidently answer questions and make recommendations.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, anticipating needs and resolving concerns promptly.
• Deliver food and beverages efficiently while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
• Suggestively sell menu items, featured specials, appetizers, desserts, and beverages to enhance the guest experience.
• Process guest payments accurately and responsibly.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized section and assist in keeping the dining room presentable throughout service.
• Communicate effectively with hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, food runners, and management to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications:

• Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong hospitality mindset with a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food, wine, beer, and spirits is preferred, with a willingness to continue learning.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays weighing up to 30 pounds.
