# Heavy Equipment Operator **Wood Waste Recycling is Hiring!** We are looking for a dependable and experienced **Heavy Equipment Operator** to join our team. This position involves operating heavy equipment in a busy wood waste and recycling environment, handling logs, brush, wood debris, mulch, and other materials. ## Responsibilities - Safely operate heavy equipment such as **wheel loaders, excavators, screeners, dozers and other material-handling equipment** - Load and unload trucks and trailers - Move, sort, stockpile, and process wood waste and other materials - Feed grinders and other processing equipment as required - Maintain organized and safe material piles and work areas - Perform daily pre-trip/equipment inspections - Check fluids, grease equipment, and report maintenance or repair needs - Work safely around trucks, ground personnel, customers, and other equipment - Follow all company safety policies and procedures - Assist with general yard duties as needed ## Qualifications - Previous heavy equipment operating experience preferred - Experience with **wheel loaders and excavators strongly preferred** - Wood recycling, land clearing, logging, mulch, aggregate, or similar experience is a plus - Ability to safely and efficiently operate equipment in an active yard environment - Good judgment and awareness when working around people and other equipment - Dependable attendance and ability to report to work on time - Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions - Willingness to work overtime when needed ## What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is **experienced, safety-conscious, dependable, and productive**.
