Pediatric Registered Nurse in Manhattan, New York at Affirmed Home Care

Pay: $55–$150 per hour, depending on the nursing task and assignment

Affirmed Home Care is expanding its Pediatric Division and is seeking an experienced Per Diem Pediatric RN to support our growing team and assist our full-time Pediatric RN Care Manager with the clinical oversight of pediatric cases throughout:

Brooklyn | Queens | Manhattan

The Per Diem Pediatric RN will:

• Provide clinical support to ensure the highest quality of care for pediatric clients
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
• Obtain required physician orders in accordance with applicable home care regulations
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s medical condition to the attending physician and Agency care team
• Supervise and support the nursing team providing care in the home
• Conduct weekly nursing orientations
• Perform nursing competency assessments in the office or client’s home, as needed
• Provide clinical guidance and support to caregivers and nursing staff
• Assist with the ongoing clinical needs of pediatric clients
• Promote client safety, comfort, independence, and quality of life in the home environment
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Current New York State RN license in good standing
• BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric clinical home care experience
• Recent hands-on experience with advanced pediatric clinical skills, including:
  • Pediatric ventilator management
  • Tracheostomy care
  • G-tube/PEG tube care
  • IV infusions
  • Wound care
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
• Experience supervising and supporting clinical staff
• Strong attention to detail and a client-focused approach

Candidates must be able to provide:

• Physical examination completed within the past year
• PPD or QuantiFERON-TB test completed within the past year, or a chest X-ray completed within the past five years
• MMR immunization within the past 10 years
