You'll work closely with the Partnerships Lead, and cross-functionally with product and trust & safety to make Bluesky the best place for publishers to build an audience they actually own.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the news industry: beat reporters, newsroom audience teams, and publisher leadership.
- Guide our news and media partners through Bluesky and AT Protocol, helping them to grow their audience.
- Establish programmatic activations with partners. Own planning and execution across both IRL and digital campaigns.
- Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and comms to translate partner insights into actionable recommendations, and advocate for the needs of news partners internally.
- Define success metrics for news partnerships, track your inputs and outputs, and report clearly on what's working - your data will inform our priorities and resource allocation.
- Use data to develop an engagement strategy that identifies opportunities to strengthen how we serve news publishers.
You might be a good fit if you:
- Have 5+ years of experience in content partnerships, audience development, or business development within a news/media capacity.
- Have deep knowledge of the news ecosystem, with existing relationships and the ability to build new ones quickly.
- Have worked in high-velocity startup environments where you ship fast and iterate often.
- Are fluent in social. You don't just "manage partnerships," you get the internet.
- Have a track record of leading campaigns that moved the needle on awareness, sentiment, and/or growth.
- Can operate autonomously, move fast, and deliver results in ambiguous or rapidly evolving spaces.
We're especially excited if you:
- Are already familiar with Bluesky, AT Protocol, or the decentralized social landscape.
- Have experience with the commercial side of the content industry.
- Have worked directly in news media, at a newsroom or a publication.
- Can show us a portfolio of partnerships campaigns you've worked on.
