Position Summary

The Service Superintendent is responsible for assisting in the management of the Service Department while ensuring roofing repair and maintenance projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role provides leadership and support to field personnel, oversees daily job site operations, monitors quality and safety standards, coordinates labor, materials, and subcontractors, and serves as a key point of contact for customers. The Service Superintendent is committed to delivering exceptional service, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and driving operational excellence while supporting the company’s goals and values.

Key Responsibilities
Enforce branch objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy.Monitor quantity and quality of work performed by the branch. To provide leadership to foremen—fostering safety, teamwork and discipline—resulting in efficient and professional roof system installationTo represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with customers, personnel and the publicTo effectively manage all aspects of production to meet company and project goalsAssist and help diagnose difficult leaks.Provide takeoffs and proposals for customer requests.Assume additional responsibilities as required by the branch's operating needs or as directedAdditional responsibilities below based on job function:Visit job sites dailyConduct or participate in daily safety auditsTrain field staff in safety, work skills and efficiencyProvide ongoing feedback to field technicians regarding job performanceResolve complains and grievances; assist with discipline when necessaryDiscuss opportunities for professional developmentConduct annual performance reviewsEnsure production and quality goalsMaintain understanding of contract information for jobsTrack labor hours and production against stated goalsSchedule materials, equipment and deliveries, paying special attention to using inventoried materialsMonitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages and order materials as neededCoordinate, supervise and manage subcontractorsMonitor quality of installations
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required 


Education

High school diploma

Experience

Minimum five (5) years field experience and roof repairOSHA ten (10) hour safety course

Skills & Requirements

Minimum 18 years of ageValid driver’s license and insurable driving recordSuccessful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility testsComfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tallAbility to lift 100 LBS or moreSuccessful Background CheckAbility to properly repair modified bitumen, B.U.R., P.V.C., T.P.O., E.P.D.M., tile and metal roof systemsGood communication and writing skillsBasic computer skills with knowledge of scanning. the ability to perform math calculations relevant to roofing workthe ability to teach others roof system installation skillsthe ability to identify and correct unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standardsthe knowledge to inspect and ensure attention to detail and quality
