Responsibilities
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise across the full lifecycle of cGMP projects from early concept and design through construction, commissioning, qualification, and validation, and understands how to deliver projects system-by-system. Just as important, they are a strong communicator and relationship builders, capable of leading pursuits, presenting to clients, and partnering with internal teams to secure new opportunities.
- Developing a purchasing schedule and strategy to anticipate, address, and resolve purchasing challenges during the early stages of pre-construction.
- Collaborating with Estimating and Purchasing in the setup of projects to ensure profitability, client satisfaction, and the best subcontractors for the project.
- Working in partnership with the Project Superintendent to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule.
- Thorough completion of all financial data with an eye to quickly identify potential/existing issues that could lead to subpar financial performance.
- Maintaining and developing relationships to reinforce a commitment to world-class customer service across the board, including co-workers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the design community.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in construction project management with a commercial general contractor.
- 5+ years of verifiable experience on multiple cGMP projects, with experience throughout the entire cGMP project lifecycle (concept, design, construction, CX, IQ/OQ, Validation). Preferably at least one cGMP project is over $25M in volume, and one was successfully validated by the FDA for commercial use. Note – volume is less important than complexity.
- 10+ years (Aggregate) of construction experience
- Worked in cleanrooms and understand protocol (including gowning & cGMP documentation)
- Learned to build on a system-by-system basis, not just building spatially
- Experience in managing a client to build an account
- Experience building projects specifically in commercial, hospitality, hotel, sports arenas, and healthcare
- Highly organized, client-focused, and able to connect.
