Job Description:
About the Team

The Trade Marketing department within The Trust is responsible for external communications, strategic partnerships, and B2B marketing for The Wall Street Journal, WSJ Magazine, Barron's, and other Dow Jones properties. Our mission is to drive advertising revenue by developing high-impact partnerships and ensuring our products and leadership remain visible and credible within the media landscape.

About the Role

As a Senior Associate, Trade Marketing, you will serve as a key execution lead for B2B strategies focused on client engagement, partnerships, and world-class event production primarily in the European, Middle East and APAC regions. This role requires a meticulous project manager who can navigate a fast-paced, matrixed environment and provide "white-glove" service to our most important clients and internal stakeholders.

You Will:

Strategic Barter Partnerships
  • Pipeline Management: Facilitate the barter partnership lifecycle from initial outreach and proposal support to Salesforce administration.
  • Fulfillment: Coordinate with planning teams to ensure all ad units, on-site branding, and publication distributions are delivered as contracted.
  • Execution: Act as the primary point of contact for partnership deliverables at trade shows and industry events. When necessary, travel to partner events to help onsite with presence.

Client Engagement & External Comms
  • Retention programs: Support high-touch client initiatives, including bespoke gifting programs and exclusive outreach campaigns
  • Awards Management: Help manage the awards calendar and budget; gather assets for compelling submissions and coordinate logistics for awards galas.
  • Asset Creation: Assist in the development of B2B marketing collateral and newsletters to promote Ad Sales products and thought leadership.

Event Production & Execution
  • Project Coordination: Partner with the Events Director to execute flagship industry moments (e.g., Cannes Lions, Design Miami and client events).
  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead smaller-scale events from concept to completion, including brief development, invite creation, RSVP tracking, and on-site check-in.
  • Content Support: Help draft event briefing docs, talking points, and promotional materials for internal and external use.
  • Logistics: Oversee post-event workflows, including invoice processing, budget tracking, and ROI reporting.

Marketing Operations & Digital
  • AI Forward: Use and find efficiencies for the Trade Marketing team using Dow Jones AI prescribed products
  • Email/CRM: Build and deploy thought leadership email campaigns using Pardot/Mailchimp and maintain database hygiene in Salesforce.
  • Merchandise: Oversee "swag" and premium inventory, managing vendor relationships and strategic distribution.
  • Administrative Excellence: Provide essential team support, including planning, marketing calendars, and invoice management.

You Have:
  • Demonstrated professional experience in marketing and/or event experience, preferably within a media, publishing, or agency environment.
  • Operational Rigor: Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple "moving parts" across different time zones and project types.
  • Communication: Strong writing and copy-editing skills; comfortable communicating professionally with senior-level executives.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (strong Excel/Sheets skills), CRM tools (Salesforce and Pardot/Mailchimp preferred), and AI platforms (Gemini, Glean)
  • Adaptability: A positive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to pivot quickly in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Logistics: Hybrid (London Based); a European aligned schedule to ensure real-time collaboration with our partners, awards bodies, and event stakeholders. Potential travel required.

Our Benefits
  • Comprehensive Insurance Plans
  • Paid Time Off
  • Family Care Benefits
  • Access to Dow Jones Products
  • Subscription Discounts
  • Employee Referral Program
  • Employee Well-being Support & Fitness Programs
