Electrical Service Technician Level II

TEL Staffing is currently hiring a Level II Electrical Service Technician in Norfolk, VA. We have worked hard to build a team of good people. Pay: $30-$40/hr DOE

Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshooting and diagnosing all levels of electrical circuits.
2. 3 phase motor
3. Generators and switchboards.
4. Motor starters and start/stops.
5. Steering Systems.
6. Alarms/Automation
7. Xenox fixtures
8. Grounding systems
9. Must know how to use multi-meter/ amp meter/ megger.
10. Terminate most common types of electrical equipment.
11. Read all types of prints.
12. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to pumps.
13. Supervise and train tech level III.
14. Assist in managing projects as assigned.
15. On-call for a (7) seven-day period.
16. Travel occasionally for the company to work at other locations.
17. Follow all safety and operational policies are followed.
18. Any other duties as needed or directed by management.
19. 24 hours a day 7 days a week operation and overtime is required.

Qualifications:

Education - High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Abilities

• Lift and carry 50lbs for extended distances.
• Work in all adverse weather conditions.
• Climb ladders, stairs, and gangways up to twenty-five feet in height.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch and work above head for extended periods of time.
• Operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.

Background Requirements

• Capable of acquiring valid TWIC.
• Possess a valid driver license.
• Clean driving record with no DWI convictions.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Pass a drug and alcohol test.

Practical Experience

• Previous experience in electrical service industry
• Good communications skills
• Professional manner in dealing with other employees, management, and customers.
• Organizational Skills
• Basic mechanical skills
