Staff Solutions Engineer

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape enterprise technology strategies while working with some of the most complex and high-impact customer environments in the market. As a senior technical advisor, you will collaborate closely with sales, customer success, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions that address critical business and technical challenges. You will engage directly with executive stakeholders, guide proof-of-concept initiatives, and influence long-term platform adoption across multiple industries. Accountabilities:
  • Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept implementations throughout the enterprise pre-sales lifecycle.
  • Partner with sales and customer success teams to develop compelling technical strategies that support customer acquisition and account expansion.
  • Deliver customized demonstrations, workshops, and presentations tailored to both executive leadership and technical stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with enterprise customers, identify technical champions, and act as a strategic advisor on scalable solution design.
  • Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and contribute to future product improvements.
  • Drive cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives aimed at improving technical processes, frameworks, and scalability across the solutions engineering organization.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and industry best practices within the team.
  • Maintain deep expertise in cloud technologies, DevOps methodologies, software delivery practices, and enterprise security/compliance standards.
  • Support enterprise sales efforts through RFP responses, technical environment management, and solution architecture recommendations.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, customer engagements, and strategic meetings, with travel expectations up to 50%.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, systems architecture, or other customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong expertise with cloud platforms, including advanced knowledge of at least one major provider such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proven experience leading and documenting proof-of-concept initiatives and successfully building technical stakeholder alignment.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle practices, DevOps principles, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience working with security and compliance frameworks involving PII, PCI, HIPAA, or similar regulatory standards.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence enterprise decision-making through consultative problem-solving and strategic technical guidance.
  • Experience contributing thought leadership within the broader technology industry through presentations, workshops, or events.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while balancing multiple enterprise engagements simultaneously.
