Nurse Navigator - Lung Nodule in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at St. Clair Hospital

Responsible for the data collection and maintenance of databases for lung nodule patients.

Assist the physician in the follow up of all important patient care steps for the lung nodule program in a timely, efficient manner. Provide support to patients undergoing surveillance CT scans or biopsies using diagnostic tools like robotic bronchoscopies.

1. Current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
2. Must meet one of the following:
   1. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field
   2. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a current related certification in area of expertise, or commitment to obtain certification within 3 months.
3. Three years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
4. Appropriate clinical experience with a thorough knowledge of the scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, developed skill in delivering nursing care, and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
5. A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
6. The ability to successfully complete a competency-based orientation and annual competency testing of skills and/or the knowledge necessary to provide care to specific patient populations.

1. Prior experience in providing education to adult learners with demonstrated teaching ability and excellent coordination skills.
2. Strong pulmonology, oncology, ICU or case management preferred.
3. Master’s degree in a health-related field.
