Job Description
Objective: The Marketing & Events Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing BVS and Fusion Manufacturing marketing initiatives, events, communications, and customer-facing activities while supporting product marketing, brand standards, and sales resources.
Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain marketing communications and materials supporting BVS and Fusion Manufacturing products, services, and business initiatives.
- Write, edit, and coordinate external-facing communications, including quarterly Poultry Talk and Swine Talk newsletters and other customer communications.
- Create and coordinate marketing content for digital, print, email, social media, and other communication channels.
- Manage and maintain BVS and Fusion Manufacturing social media content, including developing, scheduling, and publishing posts and monitoring engagement.
- Develop and maintain marketing collateral, presentations, brochures, flyers, product information, promotional materials, and other sales support resources.
- Support website content updates and ensure information remains current, accurate, and consistent with BVS brand standards.
- Assist with product promotions, customer communications, mailings, presentations, and other marketing initiatives.
- Maintain organized marketing files, templates, brand assets, resources, and systems.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners for printing, advertising, promotional products, graphic design, and other marketing services.
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute BVS and Fusion Manufacturing marketing events, trade shows, customer meetings, promotional events, and internal gatherings from initial planning through post-event follow-up.
- Lead coordination for key company events, including PEAK, Farming in Focus, Fish Camps, trade shows, customer meetings, and field events.
- Develop and maintain event timelines, project plans, checklists, schedules, budgets, and action items.
- Coordinate venues, registration, sponsorships, accommodations, meals, transportation, booth space, staffing, presentations, equipment, signage, promotional items, and other event requirements.
- Manage vendor and event-partner relationships, including shipping, receiving, setup, breakdown, and return of event materials and equipment.
- Ensure appropriate marketing materials, product information, presentations, displays, promotional items, and other resources are available for each event.
- Track event-related expenses, invoices, commitments, and budgets as assigned.
- Provide on-site event support, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate participating team members to ensure a professional and successful event experience.
- Complete post-event follow-up, including expense reconciliation, organizing materials, documenting outcomes, gathering feedback, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Product Labels & Regulatory Support
- Coordinate marketing materials and product information with appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support the review, development, and maintenance of product labels and customer-facing product materials in coordination with Regulatory, Compliance, Technical Services, and other appropriate departments.
- Help ensure marketing and product communications reflect current approved product information and company requirements.
- Maintain organized records of current marketing materials, product information, labels, and related resources.
- Assist with updates and revisions to marketing and product materials as products, regulations, or business needs change.
Graphic Design & Brand Support
- Create and modify marketing materials, presentations, social media graphics, event materials, newsletters, advertisements, and other visual communications.
- Maintain consistency in BVS and Fusion Manufacturing branding, messaging, and visual standards.
- Coordinate graphic design projects with internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed.
- Maintain current templates and brand assets for use across marketing and event activities.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Sales, Regulatory, Compliance, Technical Services, Operations, and other internal teams to coordinate marketing priorities and deliverables.
- Coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining timelines, quality, and attention to detail.
- Serve as a resource to team members who need marketing materials, event support, product information, or customer-facing resources.
- Establish and maintain consistent processes, timelines, checklists, and resources to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing and event activities.
- Communicate proactively regarding project deadlines, outstanding needs, risks, and changes in plans.
- Assist leadership and internal stakeholders with special marketing, communications, customer, and business projects.
Customer & Brand Experience
- Represent BVS and Fusion Manufacturing professionally at company, customer, and industry events.
- Help ensure company brands, products, and messaging are represented consistently and professionally across marketing materials, communications, and events.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with customers, vendors, partners, and internal team members.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
· 5–7 years of experience in marketing, communications, event management, or a related role required.
· Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple marketing projects, events, deadlines, and stakeholders.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to write and edit professional external-facing communications.
· Demonstrated graphic design experience and proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar applications.
· Demonstrated experience managing social media content and communications.
· Strong event planning, project management, and organizational skills.
· Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly to changing business needs.
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
· Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to work effectively with Sales, Regulatory, Compliance, Technical Services, Operations, vendors, and other internal partners.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
· Experience with website content management, email marketing, CRM, project management, or other marketing systems preferred.
· Experience supporting product marketing, labeling, regulatory review, or compliance-related marketing processes preferred.
· Knowledge or experience in agriculture, animal agriculture, animal health, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus, but not required.
· Ability and willingness to travel regularly, including overnight travel for events.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Ability to lift, carry, and transport event materials and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
· Regular travel is required, including overnight travel.
· Ability to work extended hours when necessary to support event setup, execution, and breakdown.
· Ability to travel by air and ground transportation as required.
