This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Broker based in United States.
The Vice President, Broker will play a key leadership role in expanding a modern wholesale insurance business and shaping the future of surplus lines brokerage.
You will bring an established book of business, strong producer capabilities, and deep knowledge of the wholesale insurance market.
The role combines revenue generation, carrier relationship development, client management, and hands-on execution across the full insurance lifecycle.
You will solicit, market, quote, bind, and service business while negotiating competitive terms and coverage with available markets.
A major component of the role is collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to develop technology-driven solutions that reduce inefficiencies.
This is a remote opportunity with preference for candidates in GA, SC, NC, or FL, particularly those already supporting accounts in the region.

- Drive new business sales and develop new carrier appointments to expand the organization’s wholesale insurance footprint and strengthen market access.
- Build, maintain, and cultivate strong relationships with clients, agents, carriers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Solicit and develop new and existing business, managing opportunities through marketing, quoting, binding, and confirmation.
- Negotiate competitive terms, pricing, and coverage options with accessible wholesale and surplus lines markets.
- Manage a substantial book of business while maintaining strong service levels and responding efficiently to high-volume quoting and policy servicing needs.
- Contribute to the continued evolution and improvement of wholesale brokerage operations, identifying opportunities to make processes more efficient and scalable.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to develop technology-enabled solutions that streamline activities across the full surplus lines policy lifecycle.
- Bring market and broker expertise into product and operational initiatives, helping translate real-world insurance challenges into practical solutions.
- Take ownership of client and business outcomes, using a proactive and resourceful approach to overcome challenges and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Travel as needed to support client relationships, agent partnerships, new business opportunities, and other strategic requirements.
- Established wholesale insurance broker with sufficient industry experience to have built and managed a sizable book of business.
- Appropriate insurance licenses for the relevant lines of business.
- Demonstrated success in sales, production, and business development, with a strong ability to generate and close new opportunities.
- Strong understanding of wholesale insurance and surplus lines markets, including the ability to identify appropriate markets and negotiate effective terms and coverage.
- Proven ability to manage high volumes of transactions while generating quotes and servicing policies quickly and accurately.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build trust with clients, agents, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong ownership mentality, persistence, and resourcefulness, with a demonstrated willingness to find creative solutions and see initiatives through to completion.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams and contributing industry expertise to technology-driven initiatives.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and motivation to build and grow a practice in a flat, high-autonomy environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel according to the needs of clients, agents, and new business opportunities.
- Candidates based in or currently supporting accounts across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Florida are preferred.
