THERMAL SPRAY OPERATOR in Grand Rapids, Michigan at Progressive Surface, Inc

Progressive Surface is seeking a Thermal Spray Operator to operate a variety of manufacturing equipment, including waterjet, abrasive waterjet, shot peening, thermal spray, and grit blasting machinery. This position plays a key role in producing high-quality parts while maintaining safety and production standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate thermal spray, and grit blasting equipment and at times waterjet, abrasive waterjet and shot peening machinery.
• Assist with set ups and changing over equipment.
• Follow work instructions and production schedules.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with material handling and other production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Willingness to learn multiple processes and work as part of a team.
