Shop Runner – Piping Technology & Products, Inc.
Position Title: Shop Runner
Location: 3701 Holmes Rd., Houston 77051
Department: Projects & Engineering
Reports to: Director of Project Management
Job Summary
The Shop Runner is responsible for tracking the jobs & line items throughout manufacturing and support the expediting team to meet the project schedule. They would notify the Project Manager and Expeditor of the feedback from manufacturing on the fabrication status and material procurement. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills to maintain transparency with all departments. The Shop Runner Expeditor reports directly to Project Management.
Key Responsibilities
· Track and monitor production activities to ensure orders progress according to schedule and meet committed deadlines.
· Support the Expediting team for both single-shot and large blanket orders throughout the production lifecycle, coordinating with cross-functional departments as needed.
· Communicate with internal personnel to coordinate production and revert the details back to the Project Manager and Expeditors.
· Maintain proper documentation and provide detailed updates regarding delays, challenges, or changes impacting cost estimates or delivery schedules.
· Prepare and maintain production schedules, generate progress reports, and proactively update Project Managers on order status as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering, Technology field, Supply Chain or equivalent training/experience.
- Fresh College graduates encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
